But that’s how we’ve always done it! — Rethinking the way your product team operates in the AI era.
76% of product leaders we surveyed expect their AI investment to grow next year, as they seize the opportunity to tackle once unsolvable problems. Yet, many product teams (ours included) are stepping on their own feet trying to keep up with the rate of change. Why? We’re collectively overfocused on learning what AI can do, while ignoring the critical how at the core. It makes sense. In the face of massive technological disruption, we instinctively lean on tried-and-true roles, patterns and practices. But that comfort can be a trap. Real evolution and impact requires product teams to let go of historical assumptions, upend traditional operations, and redefine our relationships to teams, tooling, and technology. As Head of Design at Airtable, I spend my days at this intersection of people, product, and process—both internally and across hundreds of thousands of customer orgs. In this session, I’ll share three real-world examples of product teams (including Airtable’s) who disrupted their “how” to deliver breakthrough results. I’ll also share actionable themes and questions to ask yourself to help your team find the right path forward.
