Matthew
Feczko
Director of Product Operations
Ocado Technology
Matthew Feczko is Director of Product & Engineering Operations at Ocado Technology, where he leads the global team driving how product management scales and operates across the business. With 15+ years of experience in product roles across startups and global tech, he focuses on building the systems and culture that help product teams thrive. Since joining Ocado, Matthew has helped transform how product work is planned, tracked, and delivered. His team introduced a unified Jira hierarchy and governance model that brought fragmented roadmaps into a single source of truth rolled out in under a year through deep cross-company collaboration. He also played a key role in Ocado’s shift from engineering-led to product-led, co-authoring the strategy and communications that shaped the transition. One of his proudest achievements is Ocado’s Product Skills Framework and Assessment Tool, which now guide development, hiring, and promotion decisions across the product org.

Evolving product ops to product and engineering ops
As AI tooling matures, Product ops is shifting from a function that documents and advises to one that can actively build and improve processes itself. In this keynote, Matthew shares how his team moved beyond talking about process improvement to actually implementing it with AI, why off-the-shelf tooling rarely fits real business context, and what it looks like when product ops takes ownership across both product and engineering. You'll uncover: - How AI tooling lets product ops improve processes directly, not just recommend them - Why customising tools to your specific business context beats accepting defaults - What it takes to evolve product ops into product and engineering ops
