Kate Besser is the Head of Product and Business Operations at Chainalysis. There she designed and leads the commercialization and product launch processes which bring products to market while optimizing for revenue potential as well as manages the team responsible for product operations and analytics. Prior to joining Chainalysis, Kate was a founding member of the Corporate Operations team at Databricks where she built and scaled business processes and systems that supported the rapid growth of the company. She also spent over two years at LinkedIn as a a leader on the Business Transformation team where her team worked on strategic initiatives that drove global sales and business performance through technology, analytics, and processes. Kate also spent over six years working as a management consultant at PwC, specializing in data analytics. She also co-founded a company that used unstructured data to derive insights for B2C clients which was ultimately sold to a corporate advisory and venture capital firm. She began her career as an officer in the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Pearl Harbor and as an operations officer at Commander, Naval Surface Forces. She lives in Washington DC with her husband Jack and their yellow lab. Kate holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from the US Naval Academy.
