Kim Rust (Director, Product Management, Walmart) leads the team building tools that enable the Product Managers and the Product Operations team at Sam’s Club. She has been a leader in Product Management for over a decade with experience in retail (Walmart, L’Oreal, Best Buy, Estee Lauder), media (HBO, NBCUniversal), and more. Her experience runs the gamut from global orgs to small, high-growth startups to running her own business. When not at work, she is most passionate about teaching others about product through adjunct professorships and her work with General Assembly, goofing off with her two little kiddos, and exploring her new hometown in Northwest Arkansas after 17 years living in NYC.

Panel: The Rise of Product Operations (ProdOps): Building the PLG Central Nervous System
As Product-Led Growth scales, the most mature organizations inevitably hit an operational wall: fragmented data, inconsistent tooling, and product managers overwhelmed by administrative tasks. The result is a slow, misaligned growth engine that wastes the capital efficiency PLG promises. Product Operations (ProdOps) is the strategic answer to this scaling challenge. This panel will move beyond the basic definition of ProdOps to explore how senior leaders are building it as the central nervous system that connects and optimizes the entire PLG flywheel, from engineering to revenue teams.
