Rob
McDonald
CPO
Cytracom
Rob McDonald is a product and platform executive who builds and scales multi-product platforms in high-trust markets: cybersecurity, compliance and healthcare. As Chief Product Officer at Cytracom, he led the shift from a single product to a five-product platform, growing portfolio recurring revenue about 30% largely through product-led adoption, and built an AI-native operating system for running product work. Before that, he spent a decade at Virtru, helping bring its Trusted Data Format data-protection platform to market, scaling it past product-market fit and standing up its public-sector business from scratch. Earlier, he served as a hospital CIO/CISO and ran a cybersecurity-focused consultancy and engineering firm. Through Bishop Whistler, he also advises companies and takes on fractional product leadership roles.

Fireside chat | Rebuilding the product team for an AI-native world
AI is changing how product work gets done, from discovery and specs to delivery and launch. The bigger shift isn't the tools, though. It's how the team, its roles and its operating rhythm get rebuilt around them. This fireside chat will explore where AI creates real leverage across the product development lifecycle and where it doesn't, how roles and rituals change, and how to make existing teams far more effective without losing judgment, quality or trust. Key takeaways: - Understand how AI-native development is reshaping the traditional product development lifecycle - Explore the emerging single-operator model combining product management, product engineering, and product operations - Identify the organizational and role changes needed to build and scale AI-native product teams
