Paul
Moran
Head of Product & Design
Big Picture Medical
Paul started his career in design before moving into product, and that dual lens now shapes how he approaches product strategy and execution by grounding decisions in both user and business outcomes. He's built and scaled products across e-commerce, job classifieds, and critical system monitoring, working everywhere from early-stage startups to large enterprises. Today, as Head of Product & Design at Big Picture Medical, Paul brings that range to healthcare by leading the vision, strategy, and design of an interoperable platform that enables the secure exchange of clinical data across health systems. The platform supports better care coordination and lays the foundation for AI-enabled healthcare, with a focus on creating digital solutions that improve patient outcomes and empower clinicians to deliver more coordinated, better-informed care.

From startup sprints to enterprise systems: Matching dev velocity to company stage
The right operating model for a product team shifts with company size. What works for a five-person product org running on instinct and speed breaks down at fifty without structure, and what keeps a scale-up aligned becomes bureaucratic drag at enterprise scale. This session looks at how PM teams should calibrate autonomy and pace to their company's actual stage, not an aspirational one. This session covers: - How product teams can move fast and work autonomously without losing sight of company-level goals - Which alignment mechanisms (OKRs, roadmap reviews, stakeholder syncs) actually earn their keep at each company size, and which ones are just theater - How to build a strategic operating rhythm for product management that scales with headcount instead of fighting it Attendees will leave with a practical framework for matching PM team autonomy to company size, so speed and strategic alignment stop being a trade-off.
