Sharpening your edge: Using AI, coaching, and self-reflection to become a product athlete
AI is quietly reshaping not only how we operate, but also how we grow. In the past, product managers mostly relied on workplace feedback and formal learning programs to level up. But today, we have access to powerful tools, like AI-driven feedback loops and high-leverage coaching, that let us take control of our own career growth and development. In this talk, I’ll share lessons learned from coaching product managers and preparing for high-stakes career conversations, which demand strong product judgment, clarity, and presence under real pressure. We’ll explore how AI tools like ChatGPT and live coaching can be combined to build a repeatable, self-directed system for growth and high performance. You’ll walk away with an actionable framework for building your own drill-based growth engine, as well as an honest perspective on what actually drives progress for mid-career and senior PMs: practice, presence, and consistent self-reflection.
